Frequently asked questions
Does every shipment need its own policy?
No. An open cover contract covers all shipments over a period, which removes a step from every dispatch and protects urgent departures.
The carrier already covers the goods — is that enough?
Rarely. A carrier's liability is capped by the applicable conventions and is often calculated by weight, not on the real value of the goods.
Are transhipments covered?
Warehouse-to-warehouse cover includes transhipments, provided they were declared at the time of subscription.
